New 2010-11 Arsenal Kits

Nike has done it properly for once, they made a football shirt that suits a team perfectly. Ladies and Gentleman feast your eyes on Arsenal’s new home kit, revealed today by Telegraph Sport:

This kit is MILES better than the garbage used for the last kit cycle, and even improves on the great 2006/08 kit by removing the gold. This shirt is a throwback to the original Arsenal shirts of the 1970s and 80s. It is simple, and how an Arsenal shirt should be, all white sleeves on a red shirt along with red sleeve cuffs. (Compared to Umbro’s 1985-86 home kit below)

This is great, I will easily be getting one of these instant classic shirts the day it is released, I am so happy that Nike for once did not completely fuck up a team’s home kit, but instead made the perfect homage to a retro shirt. Go Gooners Go, you and your fans will be looking sharp at the Emirates this season. – J
